The Wrap-Around House by Montalba Architects is conceived as a response to its neighborhood, addressing contemporary demands for fire resilience, environmental responsibility, and economic efficiency. Situated on a compact parcel within the dense yet scaled Alphabet Streets of the Pacific Palisades, the project is organized to maximize light, views, and privacy with a restrained streetscape presence. Primary living spaces are oriented around an interior courtyard, establishing a symbiosis between inside and outside.
Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass walls, coupled with the extension of interior planes and material palettes into the exterior, dissolve traditional boundaries and foster a continuous spatial experience that amplifies openness and connection to the site.
